Congratulations! You've reached my very own place on the Net, my name is Pekka Seppänen and I study Electrical Engineering at the University of Oulu. I'm also employed as a software engineer.

As you may guess, working while studying (and vice versa) eats the most of my free time but still I like to lurk poor coders: There are a couple of Finnish forums where I'm actively helping (enlightening) people. When I like to relax I tend to watch movies or series. I do like outdoor activities and I'm keen on both sport fishing and hiking. I was 10 years old when I did my first hiking trip to Lapland. Since then I've done at least one trip to Lapland per year. Perhaps that's why the Finnish military service was no problem at all for me (I was enlisted for twelve months). I've continued to improve my marksmanship skills as it's builds concentration especially at longer, up to 1 km ranges. I'm also member of board of a local shooting club.

I've been idling in the IRC for several years now and I still find that a very amusing way to contact people. If you'd like to contact me via IRC, search for nickname d0ggie. Yes, sounds pretty 1337 nick but I've had that for many years now. One can't ever bet enough on the winning horse, you know.
